Our workshop kicks off on Friday evening, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lander Art Center. This initial session will be dedicated to preparing for our outdoor painting adventure. We'll discuss essential plein air watercolor techniques, the nuances of working with color in the field, and how to best set up your palette and workspace for success. It's a perfect opportunity to meet fellow artists, share your passion for watercolor, and get excited about the painting day ahead.

Then, on Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, we’ll head into the stunning Sinks Canyon. With watercolor and paper in hand, we will dive into the landscape, focusing on how to truly see and interpret color. The emphasis will be on exploring the rich palette of the canyon, experimenting with color mixing, and developing your personal style to create paintings that reflect your unique connection to the scene. We'll learn to capture the essence of the environment, from the subtle shifts in light to the vibrant hues of the natural elements.

Join us to explore the vibrant world of plein air watercolor, deepen your understanding of color, and create beautiful paintings that tell the story of your experience in the wild heart of Wyoming.
