Hey Future Crafting Legends! Are you ready to explore a new world of creativity each week this July? Join Bella Leonard at the Lander Art Center for our Multi-Media Crafting Workshop, where you become the explorer of awesome art projects! Every Monday, we'll unbox a new adventure, working with cool materials and learning new techniques to make something incredible that you’ll be thrilled to take home and show everyone.


Here’s Your Map to Creative Discoveries:

  • Week 1 (July 7): The Great Burlap Tic-Tac-Toe Expedition! Set off on a fabric adventure! You'll feel the interesting texture of burlap as you design and create your very own Tic-Tac-Toe game – no batteries required! We’ll use cool stencils or maybe even hand-paint designs to make your game board look ancient or super modern. Craft your own unique game pieces, and get ready for some serious strategic fun on the go!

  • Week 2 (July 14):  Journey to the Land of Watercolor Wonders! Transform an ordinary tin into a treasure chest of color! You’ll become a paint palette designer, carefully arranging little pans of vibrant watercolors inside. Then, unleash your imagination to decorate the outside of your tin with dazzling designs, making it a magical, portable studio. Imagine yourself painting a sparkling river or a magical forest with the colors you’ve chosen! We’ll even practice some brush strokes to get you started.

  • Week 3 (July 21):  The Amazing Aviary Architects Mission! Calling all nature engineers! This week, you’ll design and build a welcoming seed-feeder for your local birds. Using a mix of cool supplies like colorful strings, and maybe even some shiny beads, you’ll construct a functional and funky bird feeder. Picture cheerful birds stopping by for a snack at your custom-designed creation!

  • Week 4 (July 28):  The Blooming Colors & Pots Quest! Get ready to make your world more colorful! You’ll take a plain pot and turn it into a masterpiece. Swirl on your favorite paint colors, create funky patterns, or maybe even a cool character. Once your pot is a work of art, we’ll learn the secrets of planting, and you’ll gently place a new plant or some fragrant herbs inside its vibrant new home. It’s art you can watch grow!
