ARTat the Heartof Lander
A gallery, a clay studio, and classrooms on Main Street in Lander, open to everyone.
Kids and camps
Kids go home with paint to the elbows and something they made.
After-school art, family sessions, and week-long summer camps that end with a show of their work.
The gallery
On a lunch break or on your way into the Winds, stop in and look around.
There are seven shows this season, and there's never a charge to come in.
Adult classes
You always meant to try it. Come make one thing on an ordinary evening.
Wheel throwing, block printing, mosaics, watercolor, and one-night sessions, taught by about fifteen working artists.
Class pricing
Every class has more than one price, and you pick the one that works for you.
There's no application and no one to ask. It works the same for kids' classes and adults'.
Artists and teachers
Bring us your work, or bring us the class you want to teach.
Proposals for the gallery, the Members Show, and the guides we hand artists most often. Teachers tell us what they need to run a class.
The clay studio
Potters need wheels, kilns, shelf space, and other potters.
Seven wheels, open studio hours, and shelves to rent, all after one orientation night on a Wednesday.
Around town
Some of the best of LAC happens outside the building.
LAC has been part of Lander since 2003. Every member can enter work in the Members Show, and local businesses fund kids' classes through the Youth Scholarship Fund.
