Class Schedule

Scholarships are available for every class.  Download a scholarship application here: Scholarship Application12.30.10.docx or pick one up at the front desk of the Lander Art Center.

CLASS PAYMENT and REFUND POLICY
   
Payment guarantees enrollment in a class. If you have not paid within 24 hours we will give precedence to those paying.
  • Payment: Must be made within 24 hours for phone registrations.
  • Refunds are given up to one week prior to class. No refunds are given after this date.
  • Refund: If paid by credit card and cancel, a $5 fee will be charged to cover the transaction fee that the Art Center was assessed on the credit card.
  • Class Cancellation: If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, we will call you within one week of the beginning of class and all class fees will be refunded.

  • Jewelry Guild

    This class will be a primer for beginning metal workers and a continuation for amateur and experienced jewelers. The instruction will cover the following techniques: basic metal work including sawing, drilling, dapping and stamping; roller mill and creating texture on metal with hammers and other methods; soldering copper, Nugold, or silver; and fusing glass. Every other week will be an open studio to practice and complete projects.

    Dates: Wednesdays, Jan. 18th; Feb. 1st, 15th, 29th; March 14th, 28th; and April 18th

    Open studio dates: Jan. 25th; Feb. 8th, 22nd; April 4th, 25th; May 2nd

    Improve your skills or gain new ones through our drawing and painting guild classes. Still-lifes will be set-up for gestural drawings or paintings. The last Thursday of each month will host a live model. Sign-up for all, some, or drop-in on these classes.

  • Precious Metal Jewlery Workshop

    Create your own one-of-a-kind pure silver jewelery with Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC is a metal material that has the feel and working properties of modeling clay. Using simple tools, objects are easily given shape, texture, and character.

  • Decorative Paving Titles Workshop

    Students will use a clay slab to create decorative titles that will be glazed and fired. Then using a 12" x 12" garden paver as a base, the tiles will be glued and grouted creating a unique element to place in your garden or give as a personalized gift.
